So the BAFTAs (a major precursor for the Oscars) took place yesterday. It was frustrating for since BBC delayed the coverage of the ceremony and revealed the winners before it took place, spoiling the chance of surprises, then again, it was my fault for finding out ITFP.
Plus instead of being inspired in some categories which have been predictable so far, BAFTA went for the obvious choice. And the presentation was super bland.
Here's hoping the Oscars on the 28th won't go a similar way.

In other news, I watched There Will Be Blood, which I appreciated a lot more on a third watch than the first two views. It's about a 9.5/10 now and in my personal Oscars for 2007, it wins Picture, Director, Actor, Supporting Actor, Cinematography, Adapted Screenplay and so on. In real life, TWBB only won Actor and Cinematography, and mostly lost out to No Country for Old Men, which in my opinion isn't quite as good.
